Project Guidelines
You will be creating a website to show your understanding of the water crisis and its effects on our planet. You will also keep a "Reading Blog" where you will answer discussion questions about the novel "A Long Walk to Water".
A Long Walk to Water is based on the true story of Salva Dut, one of some 3,800 Sudanese "Lost Boys" whom migrated to the United States beginning in the mid 1990s.
As a young boy, Salva is forced to leave his village due to civil war. All alone, he fights for his survival searching for his family along the way.
The story also follows Nya, a young girl who lives in modern-day Sudan. Nya spends her days fetching water for her family's survival.
Both stories help to paint a picture of the hardships people face living in places where water is scarce, like the Sudan.

Reading Blog - This page needs to have basic information about the novel (title, author, etc.), a picture that relates to the novel "A Long Walk to Water" and a new posting for each discussion question (these will be posted in class as we progress through the novel), and each entry must be 4-5 sentences in length (complete sentences!).
Both of these pages are due on Tuesday 3/8 (last day in class is Friday)!

Internet Safety
Make sure that your website is treated as if it is a professional publication. This means that you must use pictures, words, and statements that are school appropriate and relate to our unit of study. I am trusting you to be safe, respectful, and responsible with this assignment. Any student who violates this trust will have their website deleted and will not be allowed to complete the project.
